I am really anxious to see what we do about Deuce. Man I hope he stays a Saint for life.

I hope so too, but I can't help but wonder what health event is going to take place in a month that will help us understand where he is? I kind of smell a rat with the FO on this.

I'll be angry because Deuce is better than Stecker with one leg and I'm not satisfied with having Stecker back there with Bush. To me, Stecker is highly over-rated and if the FO cut The Deuce Man I hope they draft another RB day 1 of the draft.

Matt Forte, Jamaal Charles, or Kevin Smith...

how is stecker overrated ? he is what he is : a veteran backup and a good ST-player , no one on the board see him as a future starter nor does payton

Huh? Deuce was the one that proposed this idea to push back the deadline. The FO simply agreed to give Deuce every chance to prove to them that he was ready and could contribute this year.

Don't know why your bagging on the FO.:idunno:

As long as Deuce is cool with bringing down his salary of $6,736,666.00 this year down to 1 million, I'm all with keeping him.

Yeah, I know it's popular to bash the FO, but I think the FO has been much improved and do not deserve this for now. I also am willing to bet The future of the FO is moving into Rita's hands, and I like what I've seen so far. (Crossing fingers there)

I think Stecker played surprisingly well last year when Deuce went out. I don't think there is a question about whether or not a healthy Deuce is better than Stecker, the question is whether or not Deuce will ever be healthy again. I am hoping so, and I hope he agrees to restructure to help make some more room for Colston and Smith.

He wants to stay so thats one thing we got going for us maybe he will take a pay cut.

did anyone see the segment on ESPNs first take about Deuce and wether he can make it back next season ? I missed it.

What happens though with everyone if Deuce is released and signs with the Falcons? Deuce is more of a fan favorite than Horn and people blasted Joe for going to Atl. Will everyone do the same if Deuce went there? Just curious

No. Everyone won't. Everyone didn't with Hollywood. Some did and some didn't.

It would be the same with Dulymus to some degree, and different to some other degree based on the fact that they're two different guys and to the extent that the circumstances would have been different.

If Dulymus acts like Hollywood did on the way out, and afterwards, he'd lose a lot of fans. (Not all of them though, of course.) But he probably wouldn't, so he probably wouldn't.

There is no "everyone" and there is no one-size-fits-all "Saint goes to the Falcons" reaction. Different people will react differently on a case-by-case basis. Like always.
