Here's one of our nocturnal visitors....who wasn't all that nocturnal the other day...

Wow...nuts. The first photo I ever posted in a "Photos of the Month" thread was that of an owl I saw in my yard. That was in 2008; he was little guy. Perhaps it's the same one, all grown up now.

doh, I totally missed it. I was going to ask Severum why he would buy such a nice lens for a pocket point and shoot camera.

I sort of hope the SL1 or M lines evolve well so I can justify one as a walkaround body and occasional ridiculous lens/camera pairing.

I might increase body size with a grip to handle increased IS/focus power demands. Buying any 50D accessories should be all that's required for Canon to speed up the 7D II release.
