Aquariums Hobby Thread (1 Viewer)

I have been reduced to a fish bowl with a betta fish since that is all they allow in the dorms. :(

Do the babies survive?

I missed the last batch we were out of town and a friend fed them but dint notice anything different.

YES they can survive but they require as much attention a human baby. Feedings 4 or 5 times a day and they soil the water quickly. They only eat live food and its tiny food. Lots of work. I havent had any yet since I just got these horses to be happy enough to breed. Then at some point..you have to train them to frozen food...

IF I get a batch I will start a thread here. Trouble is...if they do it on weekdays, by the time I get home...they are gone(filter sucked them up). I am trying and I am ready for them...we just got to get them to have them on a Saturday or Sunday.

New shop tanked on animal planet is pretty cool family builds fish tanks for casinos and other costumers. There work is pretty nice

Anybody got a beta? Looking for maybe a 5gallon setup so I can hopefuly avoid changing out the water and give him a bit more room than the qrt jar he seems to be in now.

I have one, went from a vase setup, to a 5 gallon hex, to a 56 gallon. :hihi:

She's pretty happy in the 56 community tank. You'll still have to change the water in the 5 gallon from my experience. Honestly it was more work to keep the water quality good than the 56 is, especially if you add more fish. It should be a good step up from a jar though.
