That seems to be the main topic for the Pelicans right now. I see both sides of why people are upset with his availability.

No. In football they would call it a turf toe, and it's one of the most lingering injuries you can have (that doesn't specfiically put you on the DL). They can't call it that in basketball, so here we are. He's close. Dumb to rush it.

Its the current way of the NBA. "Target is early january" means he may be available if we make it to the 2nd round.

Seems like he would have a frustration barrier from the guy who has played in 114 games, and missed 159 and counting. Lets be honest, if it were Zion with the same injury, we probably wouldnt see him until this fall.

I'm not frustrated with BI, but I do hate to see us losing. However, we are still way ahead of the expectations for this year, so it's better for him to heal properly then be hurt for the end of the season / playoffs. As long as we finish a top 4 team, it's all good.

That being said, I bought tickets for my parents for Wednesday's game as a Christmas present, so if he happened to come back for that game, I would get extra bonus points!

lingering injuries just blow. i'd much rather see him miss more games if it means he's close to 95%+ when he returns

It's like people don't understand that these guys are constantly running up and down the court, have to be able to stop and start on a dime, and the amount of stress on the foot when jumping.

Bi will play this weekend and they just said Zion is on track to be 100% by the break.

I keep telling yall that the real season begins after the break. If we have paid enough to satisfy the injury demon we are exactly where every team in the league wants to be. Top 5 likely and every starter healthy. This is the lineup that could mess around and get to the conference finals.

I have been extremely frustrated and still am because I see CJ and Jonas doing work but needing more energy at the end. We win a lot more when brandon plays.

Dyson out for the rest of tonight. CJ also took a shot. Sigh.
