When grandma says "back in the day this is how we treated the flu" it is most likely because that is how they treated the flu, but we know better now.

And radio is indeed a medium, although not a form of social media, as the masses don't have ready access to two-way communication through radio.

Still, radio isn't sentient either, and when it comes specifically to covid-19, the lines are very well drawn and very obvious; so are the sources.
Plus let's face it, radio hosts say goofy crap for ratings and social media folks say goofy crap for hits/likes/links. They're all looking for their niche.

An estimated 2,600 Los Angeles Police Department employees are citing religious objections to try to get out of the required COVID-19 vaccination. In Washington state, thousands of state workers are seeking similar exemptions.

And in Arkansas, a hospital has been swamped with so many such requests from employees that it is apparently calling their bluff.

Religious objections, once used sparingly around the country to get exempted from various required vaccines, are becoming a much more widely used loophole against the COVID-19 shot…..

The allowance was enshrined in the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964, which says employers must make reasonable accommodations for employees who object to work requirements because of “sincerely held” religious beliefs.

A religious belief does not have to be recognized by an organized religion, and it can be new, unusual or “seem illogical or unreasonable to others,” according to rules laid out by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. But it can’t be founded solely on political or social ideas.

That puts employers in the position of determining what is a legitimate religious belief and what is a dodge…….

I like the approach of Conway Regional Health System mentioned in the article - "we'll grant your religious exemption over the fetal cell line issue if you certify you do not take any other medications that have used that research - like tylenol, ibuprofen, tums, claritin, sudafed, benadryl, etc. etc."

We are wrestling with this right now -workers submitting cut and paste letters from anti-vax websites that run through a laundry list of objections - everything from the stem cell issue (ostensibly a religious exemption) to philosophical objections citing the Nuremburg Code and criminal battery statutes. We've waded through the "hesitants" and the "I don't have time" and the "I didn't know it was free" folks - Its' cuckoo crazy time now.

Yeah, the ignorance of those making silly arguments like this is really breathtaking. Particularly those rejecting vaccines on religious grounds. It's complete hogwash. And I say this as a pretty religious man myself.

Idaho has had to activate its emergency triage/ration system. Unclear whether this means that vaccinated is considered a marker for better outcomes under the system, but it's certainly reasonable that it would be.

Idaho on Thursday announced that it is activating a system for rationing medical care statewide amid a surge in COVID-19 cases that is overwhelming hospitals.

The system known as Crisis Standards of Care allows hospitals to prioritize for care healthier people who are more likely to recover.

"Someone who is otherwise healthy and would recover more rapidly may get treated or have access to a ventilator before someone who is not likely to recover," the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare said in a statement explaining the system.

You know who will be most vocally against this? The ones that have driven us to it...

I agree...with that said. "The system known as Crisis Standards of Care allows hospitals to prioritize for care healthier people who are more likely to recover." Darnit "The Hill"...proof read and edit your work to increase your legitimacy.

The Hill is terribly sloppy - I see it all the time.

Please constructively criticize this article: (I am not trying to push Ivermectin or convince anyone not to get a vaccine). I am just trying to further educate myself.

“Our latest research shows, once again, that when the totality of the evidence is examined, there is no doubt that ivermectin is highly effective as a safe prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19,” said Paul E. Marik, M.D., FCCM, FCCP, founding member of the FLCCC and Chief, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. “We can no longer rely on many of the larger health authorities to make an honest examination of the medical and scientific evidence. So, we are calling on regional public health authorities and medical professionals around the world to demand that ivermectin be included in their standard of care right away so we can end this pandemic once and for all.”

Did you not see that video above? Research the FLCCC and if you still think they are trustworthy, then go from there. But, I'm going to go with the FDA, CDC, and the majority of health professionals out there. Also, I like Joe Rogan, but he is batsheet crazy.
Big Edit here: I'm not saying this is you, Why continue to push Ivermectin when there is already a proven, FREE, vaccine that would have put a damper on this pandemic sooner? The anti-vaxxers are screaming for Ivermectin like it's the end of the world, but the solution is already there in front of them.
