SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The president of California’s medical board, which issues medical licenses and disciplines doctors, says a group of anti-vaccine activists stalked her at home and followed her to her office — where four men confronted her in a dark parking garage in what she described as a terrifying experience.

Kristina Lawson, a former mayor of Walnut Creek who was appointed to the board by former Gov. Jerry Brown, said in social media on Wednesday she grew concerned Monday after she noticed the people in a white SUV parked near her home and saw someone flying a drone over her house.

“They watched my daughter drive herself to school and watched me walk out of my house, get in my car, and take my two kids to school,” she wrote in a Tweet.

The white SUV then followed her to work and parked “head-to-head” with her car in a parking garage, she said. Lawson said that when she left the office building and entered the parking garage later that evening, four men jumped out of the SUV with cameras and recording equipment and confronted her.

Lawson contacted Walnut Creek Police, who later told her the men told officers they wanted to interview her.

“Instead, they ambushed me in a dark parking garage when they suspected I would be alone,” she wrote on social media.

She said the people identified themselves as representing America’s Frontline Doctors and had not contacted the state medical board or her workplace to request to speak with her.

Led by Simone Gold, a Beverly Hills doctor who was arrested during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, America’s Frontline Doctors criticizes the COVID-19 vaccine and has been widely discredited for spreading disinformation about the coronavirus and unproven treatments.

“I was concerned when I saw someone flying a drone over my house and saw a mysterious white truck parked outside my home. Later that day, my concern turned to terror,” she said in a statement……..

What does it take to lose a medical license in most states? B/c those “Americas’s Frontline Doctors” quacks should be relegated to Dr. Nick Riviera-level strip mall clinics or mob surgeons at best.

SEATTLE — Groups trying to discourage Americans from getting the coronavirus vaccine have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the efforts from Amazon.

AmazonSmile, a charitable-giving arm that donates a half percent of every purchase from its online store to the nonprofit of a shopper’s choice, gave more than $42,000 to a dozen anti-vaccine nonprofits last year, according a Washington Post analysis of its tax returns.

While it’s a relatively small amount — particularly out of the more than $60 million it shared with nonprofits overall — these groups are able to stretch funds in large part thanks to the nature of spreading viral messages on social media, said Imran Ahmed, chief executive of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, an advocacy organization that’s focused on fighting vaccine misinformation.

“They are able to do a lot of damage with very little money,” Ahmed said.

Even as Amazon has encouraged its workforce to get vaccinated, it will continue to fund groups that oppose vaccination, spokeswoman Stacey Keller said in an emailed statement.

“We respect that our customers have a wide variety of viewpoints on this matter, which is why the charities in question continue to be included in the list of organizations customers can choose from as part of AmazonSmile,” Keller said……

You 100% did not say that. Posing a question isn't issuing a directive.

I mean, it's not from that long ago. People could just, you know, re read it.

Yeah, my comment wasn’t that it couldn’t be talked about - it was that we had already exhaustively discussed it in multiple formats over the course of two days. So I was asking whether we needed to do the same thing again.

In fairness, however, I think it was in a thread that was deleted.

A lot of it is in here from Sept.

Not the beginning, but a good post.

Ok, if this crazy fool doesn't have problems, then he should be the poster boy for a vaccination campaign.

He's more vaccine than man now.

Is that how you get superpowers? Is he his own ISP now?

I just got my moderna booster on Friday, and had a fun weekend. I have no idea how you could do this, and be able to walk.

Reportedly, Carolina reapers are the most effective in neutralizing the microchips...

Of course a military physician posted that! Lol

FYI...I say that with nothing but respect. I was a military physician in a prior life, and that would actually be someone along the lines of what I'd say to my patient back in the day. It's just the environment. Now...I'm walking on eggshells with every patient, tip toeing around things that may offend them. Boy I miss certain aspects of the military.

Seems some companies are going to this. I am surprised the company i work for hasn't done this.

Kroger ending some COVID-19 benefits for unvaccinated staff

Unvaccinated workers will no longer be eligible to receive up to two-weeks paid emergency leave if they become infected, a company spokesperson confirmed Tuesday. That policy was put into place last year when vaccines were unavailable.
I fully support any company who is doing this.

Keith Smith, whose wife had gone to court to have his COVID-19 infection treated with ivermectin, died Sunday evening, a week after he received his first dose of the controversial drug.

He was 52.

Smith was in a hospital in Pennsylvania for nearly three weeks and had been in the hospital’s intensive care unit in a medically induced coma on a ventilator since Nov. 21. He had been diagnosed with the virus on Nov. 10.

His wife of 24 years, Darla, had gone to court to compel the hospital, UPMC Memorial, to treat her husband with ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug that has not been approved for treatment of COVID-19.

York County Court Judge Clyde Vedder’s Dec. 3 decision did not compel the hospital to treat Keith with the drug, but it did allow Darla to have an independent physician administer it. He received two doses before Keith’s condition grew worse, and the doctor halted the treatment...........

Sorry, no empathy/sympathy....there is now an open ICU bed.
