Now are we gonna have people start suing hosptals everytime a patient/family disagrees with any treatment for any diagnosis?

Two weeks paid leave? That’s amazing. I’m a healthcare worker and would have to use two weeks vacation of the four weeks total that I have during that year if I got COVID. In case you’re looking for reasons why your doctor is leaving their practice and the support staff changes on a weekly basis (if there is a support staff).Seems some companies are going to this. I am surprised the company i work for hasn't done this.
Kroger ending some COVID-19 benefits for unvaccinated staff
I fully support any company who is doing this.
My company gives us 40 hours. We work a 4-10, so usually when someone tests positive, they usually don't have to use any personal time, a couple days max.Two weeks paid leave? That’s amazing. It would set a bad precedent to rule that physicians should use unapproved treatments/methods.Now are we gonna have people start suing hosptals everytime a patient/family disagrees with any treatment for any diagnosis?
i have no doubt that if the ivermectin caused even more issues, they would then turned around and say they doctors weren't adamant enough about not letting us use it..It would set a bad precedent to rule that physicians should use unapproved treatments/methods.
I agree that the way that we do things may slow innovation, but we can't allow ourselves to be used as guinea pigs if we enter the wrong office/hospital.
That is a sad sad statement right there buddy. I feel sorry for you.Sorry, no empathy/sympathy....there is now an open ICU bed.
Your prerogative. I no longer feel sorry for anyone that denies the vax to the detriment of their own life and well being. If he had been vaxxed and tried everything he could to stay safe, different story. That is a sad sad statement right there buddy. I feel sorry for you.
And that is what is really sad about society nowadays. We have somehow set ourselves up to believe that we are able to choose who is or is not worthy of compassion, forgiveness or acts of humanity. Could you look into his dying eyes or his wifes eyes and really feel that way? I hope not. I really hope that you are just venting on the internet. I had a BIL who abused drugs many years ago. Did terrible things to family. I was young (20 - 30's) and was very mad at him. Essentially cut him off from my life as much as I could. Eventually that lifestyle caught up to him. I visited him with family at the hospital as he lay there dying. All I felt was grief for him and remorse and shame for myself. All those things he did vanished at that moment. All I saw was a person that I loved who was dying, that I would no longer see or live life with. Brother, we don't have time for all this hate and anger. Every single one of us has things in our life that warrant judgement and condemnation. There but for the grace of God go I.Your prerogative. Did you try your best to help him fight drugs? Or did you just throw up your hands and walk away? Because there are a lot, A LOT, of people trying to help these anti-vaxxers and they still want to deny science and believe the FB doctors. A lot of people wanted to help this guy, but he and his wife would have none of it. I have no forks left to give for those that decry the vax in favor of wives tales and homepathic medecines or even real medication that isn't meant for treating covid. You can feel sorry for me all you want, it won't change the fact that there are needless deaths and needless familial suffering out there right now because someone "doesn't want to take the experimental/lethal/govt controlled vaccination. And that is what is really sad about society nowadays. My company ended that benefit for everyone, because there was no more tax credit or funding for that.Seems some companies are going to this. I am surprised the company i work for hasn't done this.

They were likely preparing to have to comply with the OSHA regulation (or federal contractor) in a hurry once it gets out of court. That's what ours did. They didn't know how much time they'd have to be in compliance. My company gives us 40 hours. We work a 4-10, so usually when someone tests positive, they usually don't have to use any personal time, a couple days max.
They were asking for Vax cards a couple weeks ago, i thought maybe they were getting ready to do the same as Kroger is doing. I haven't heard anything, but its still possible they are gonna take covid time away from the unvaxxed, which wouldn't hurt my feelings..
In the ED's Ivermectin is one of the drugs they use for some sort of Covid cocktail is the easiest way to explain, consist of Ivermectin, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and some antibiotic I cant remember nor can pronounce. Now, the policy I read from FDA suggested guidelines, was for use only for on-setting Covid within the ED and NOT to be used for patients to be admitted for long term care. It plainly stated research does not show any helpfulness for long term treatment for Covid patients. This policy was taped all over the providers work area at one hospital I was working at. A different hospital I was at, I didnt see that policy anywhere (different ED Physician groups), though I asked and they said same practice here ONLY ED treatment, not long term.i have no doubt that if the ivermectin caused even more issues, they would then turned around and say they doctors weren't adamant enough about not letting us use it..
Current guidelines. I think some people do not realize this and when their loved one is in the hospital they are grabbing at straws, wondering WHY they aren't providing Ivermectin.
