As Soon as the Saints sign a couple Big Names (1 Viewer)

The biggest need going into last offseason was a #2 WR... the Saints opted to sign Jared Cook and roll the dice that Cam Meredith, TQS, or Kirky (to a lesser extent) would step up.
Meredith was cut during the offseason
TQS didn’t improve
Kirky got hurt and never got healthy...

Now they go into this offseason... and guess what?
....a legit #2 WR is still the biggest need!

In the playoff loss last Sunday... the Vikings made a point to try to force the Saints to have someone other than CGM beat them. TQS dropped his chance... Cook made a few catches, but inexplicably went to the sideline after every play he made... Playoff Josh Hill is dead and gone...

It took a 3rd string QB and an UDFA return specialist to generate any real spark for the offense... and it wasn’t enough.

Agreed.
Thankfully this draft class is loaded at WR.
 
Outside of CGM, Harris (more of a ST guy) and Taysom (part time everything), I'd be fine with totally retooling the WR room. I have zero faith in the rest of the room. Breshad Perriman is a guy I'd like to see come in. Robby Anderson would be a nice get too, but I think his asking price will be more than he's worth. I'd be happy to get one of those guys (at the right price), but I don't know that I'd be "excited". Also, add a WR in the draft who could be the 3rd guy in his rookie season and blossom in to a #2.

The worst supporting WR cast in the league imo. Starting with the worst 2 in the league.

MOCK DRAFT SEASON!!!!

And this year we have a 1st rounder... it's a late 1st, but then we also have a late 3rd rounder!

Easily the worst supporting cast at WR in the league... CGM is the best!... every other WR on the roster is no better than a #3 on any other team... Maybe the Redskins would have Ginn or TQS as a #2... MAYBE.
 
I just wanna see if Emmanuel Butler can bring his preseason practice habits into the regular season or heck even into preseason games.
