Anyone have it? I have had it with Charter. Do you know if you have to have a dish on the house for it?

The DSL Reports Uverse forum has lots of info if you haven't been there yet. I wish ATT deployed FTTH instead, but I'd settle for a local rollout to speed up Suddenlink's 20+mbps upgrade.
I'd think that the counties going with the county wide wi-fi at 100+MB would be better option than paying att ftth prices. and upgrades.. just my thinking.
i know Gwinnett where i live has been working on doing so. and once it is out, then no more internet fees or a lower rate that shows up in property tax. They enacted a thing with garbage pickup that will have county doing it, which actually drops my bill by ~$7 a month. it drops the waste pickup trucks in neighborhood down from 4 , down to 1. and drops the fuel usage from that as well as you don't have 4 different trucks on the same routes.
i know it feeds into the socialist mentality, but this is one area, that is' a win-win for the people.
edit,: as for uverse , i havent seen it, its not available in my neighborhood. but co-workers that have it love it. except for the fact of you only have so many streams you can use.
please call the att customer service line and ask for a supervisor.. report those idiots. The ATTUverse people are pushy. I've had two different people knock on my door and try to hard sale me on getting ATT Uverse. One even went so far as to say my DSL service with ATT needed to be upgraded to Uverse or I would lose connectivity.
I told the gal I didn't have a home phone when she asked (I don't) and she said it was impossible for me to use DSL through ATT without home fone service. I asked her to leave my premises because she had no idea what she was talking about.
My neighbors were strong armed into signing up. They don’t have HD set so not sure.
