I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I want the God damn avengers. Not Crystal Dynamics "interpretation" of them. I would have paid $100 upfront and 100 a year to play from Ironman to Endgame.Looks pretty cool. Just saw it live on twitter.
So you wanted a rehash of the movies?I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I want the God damn avengers. Not Crystal Dynamics "interpretation" of them. I would have paid $100 upfront and 100 a year to play from Ironman to Endgame.
So any word on if you will actually play as one of the actual Avengers or if you will create your own hero with it's own abilities?
as far as can tell, you play as one of the 5 shown....it's a co-op/live service model but that's where i am kind of meh about it....that means that later heroes will likely be added as dlc for money.....
and the characters look off to me...maybe it's because of the MCU being so big in the last decade that anything other than the actors who play them will look weird...
i am kind of underwhelmed at this point....there should be some gameplay footage today since there is a playable demo at E3

Marvel's Avengers will have new content coming for years after launch, Square Enix announced during its E3 2019 livestream broadcast on Monday night. The game's narrative will play out over the course of "multiple years," it was said, with players assembling into teams of up to four, online, as they build out their characters, customize them, and learn new abilities. Players will work together to defend earth from all kinds of evil threats. But the initial lineup of characters won't be the only playable options you'll ever have at your disposal--more are coming after launch.
To make sure everyone can play together, Square Enix is offering all post-release superheroes and regions for free. Not only that, but the game won't have random loot boxes or pay-to-win scenarios, the publisher said. It's unclear what microtransactions or DLC will be sold for money, nor do we know what characters could be coming after launch. The initial lineup includes core Avengers characters like Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Thor.
