Backbreaker (1 Viewer)

hopefully the controls are intuitive and the gameplay smooth... I like Madden... but not so much that I haven't been rooting for a better game.

I say this doesn't get past one incarnation. Not because it won't be good, but because EA will buy the technology and package the "real tackles!" feature in Madden.

I hope this doesn't happen, though it's likely.

Those Tiburion dudes who make the games for EA have shown that they ruin everything.

Where's all the player control and twitch I was promised in this year's college and pro football? Nonexistent.

But wait, there is momentum which I have no way of monitoring that will make my players play like dogs or kings. Stupid.

This game looks like its shaping up nice.

I know there is always a wishlist for madden. The backbreaker game's website has a forum and the devs. of the game are looking for new ideas and wishes from football fans. If you all have ideas that you want to see in the football game, go check it out.

Finally, a Backbreaker gameplay video

I dunno about that camera angle. I love the idea of the Euphoria engine and the fact that there are no canned animations.

But I was expecting more than what this video shows. Granted they are far from finished. And this video does look smooth. But now I'm wondering if this game will turn out to be the alternative to Madden that I thought it would be.

Your thoughts?

Thanks Goose.

no matter how good it is, it will not have the NFL license

i have to be able to play with the saints

I thought they mentioned something about changing the camera angles themselves? Or maybe I read it wrong but it looks awesome. Even that drill looks more entertaining that playing the same old Madden over and over.
