Why was this the case? Almost every reception TE Juwan Johnson has caught ended up a first down or a TD so exactly why was he a healthy scratch when our WR corps has been hot garbage?

He started the season hot but hasn’t really showed up that much as of late. Trautman is a better blocker. Idk maybe he had a bad week in practice.

I don't get it either. The only TE on the roster capable of catching a football and running a route was a healthy scratch. Trautman must be one hell of a blocker in the coaches eyes, but other than blocking he looks like he is running with concrete shoes on, never any separation and cannot catch contested footballs, which you have to do in this league

It's time to discount being a good blocker. God knows how many incompetent WR's we've hung onto because they could block.

Yeah his season has been abysmal thus far. Hopefully he can turn it around because TE is not a position we have done well with in FA and other than drafting Jimmy it hasn't worked out well.
