RCS stinkbait makes no difference here in Texas. It doesn't increase your catch or anything. When I lived on the Guadalupe in Seguin I always used chicken gizzards. Cheap and works just as well.

Fresh cut bait is the best.If you want to catch lil dinks then use stink baits.If you want big trophy cats use fresh big cut bait in particularly skipjack is by far the best cat bait I know of..You want to know about catching catfish come visit the BOC(brotherhood of catfisherman)..The best catfishing sight around..They have some stink baits on there that some guys swear by like Secret 7.Look me up while your there its where I hang most of the time.Its free and is similiar to this site..

If you're going to go the stink-bait route, get cheese. It's nasty...gag-a-maggot nasty. But it works.

My best experiences have been on chicken livers and chicken hearts soaked in Baitmate Catfish spray.

catfish love some chicken livers yep but chicken livers hard to keep on hook and after carton sit in sun all day it turn to nasty yuck. You could keep carton in ice chest with beer but that bad manner. Even when they cold chicken livers very messy and how to get crusty dried yellow goo off fingers unless lick them clean and maybe get salmonella? This best way I find to use chicken livers. Wait till girlfriend not around then take carton of chicken livers and put in blender or food processer. Blend livers untill they look like chicken liver soup then pour out into bowl and mix in flour until it turn to dough. This chicken liver dough will stay on trebol hook lots better and much easier to wipe off hands. Somtimes I add cod liver oil to dough because oil will make scent trail in water so catfish find bait better.
