Talked about:

1. Davenport: Said fans need a little patience. But he thinks Davenport plays too high (upright), and needs to lower his stature at the point of attack.

2. Bobby commented that it will be worth it for the Saints' fans in LA to go to the practices coming up... thinks there will be some great 1-on-1 matchups. Baldy agrees that the scrimmages are worth it to see. Said that Keenan Allen vs. Lattimore will be interesting. Also said that the matchups all over the field will be great to see.

3. Baldy commented that we shouldn't have to worry about a Drew Brees decline. Maybe, if the Saints have games under control, they can manage it without Drew having to throw for 5K a year. Baldy felt that "pacing" Drew over the season will have him at max efficiency when the playoffs roll around.

...that's the first part of Baldy's interview. He's coming back for part 2 after the CBS News update, and a few commercials.

Part II

4. Both Bobby & Garic said they both appreciate the "Baldy's Breakdowns."

5. Anticipates the Cowboys starting the season 1-0. Doesn't think Zeke will get all the mega bucks he's looking for. Baldy thinks both Zeke and Dak will start the season with the team.

6. Antonio Brown's feet are important, and he needs to heal them to be at optimum performance. Said we should tune in to Hard Knocks and see how (Chucky) Gruden puts all the pieces together for the Raiders.

Others may have a few nuggets to add.

Great stuff! If our line stays healthy, we should be able to impose our will in the run game and allow Drew the time in the pocket he needs to dominate. Much is made about his decline last year but we lose Armstead during the Bengals game and as the line fell apart so did our offensive attack.
