Hat tip to SuperChuck, who posted this in another thread. Reposting it because some may not have seen it buried in that thread.

Great find by our resident Legal Beagle.

McCoy is an absolute stud... and no one does in-depth analysis like Baldy (...although Rev Deuce is closing that gap). :ezbill:

Baldinger compliment is like kissing your cousin... you never talk about it if it happened...

So that means that the offensive line might actually be better this season.
My guess is that if the linemen all stay relatively healthy they are bound to improve the more they are able to work together. And a great and effective offensive line opens the playbook better than anything. So yeah... it just 'might' happen! :9:

PFF graded Max Unger with a 61 on the season. I know PFF isn't the end all be all but Unger really struggled down the stretch last year.
I appreciate a great player who knows when it's time to move on. Even if he just loses the desire to play anymore, it's still best that he lets another guy take the reins.

AARP - at least from what Baldy just showed, our O-line will be more physical than last year. As we all know, Unger was a very experienced and High IQ center. Brees and SP trusted him to change blocking assignments at the LOS. I suspect it will take a few years for McCoy to learn that level of play. `But we shall see. The right side with McCoy and the young monsters Warford and Ram will be like a Steeler huge powerful O-line where Leveon Bell can go down and an unknown RB can be one of the top running RBs in the league. SP plays his hand on what post Brees offense will look like and it will include a large extremely physical O-line.

I think that's probably true - and I think Max is a guy who probably always had a high level of performance and when he felt like he couldn't give that any more, it's time to hang it up. I can respect that.

McCoy looks like the real deal and more. The Baldy clip focuses on run blocking (and wow!) but we've always known that Drew's weakness to rush is through the center of the line. A beast center can be really helpful for anybody's passing game but for our QB in particular.

He was struggling because he played through injury, which is why he ultimately retired. We only had him for a handful of seasons. But he was darn good for most of that time. Glad we had him.

Being an OL guy, I'm happy to hear this, especially from Baldy. We have to keep this line together, even if it means letting 1-2 pretty good "skill" players walk. Players like Armstead, Peat, McCoy, Worford, and Ram are much harder to find.
