If there is a silver lining regarding all of the injuries we’ve had so far this season, esp on O, its that its allowed so many young players n backups to get valuable playing time AND experience.A line of Ram, McCoy, Peat, Ruiz and Armstead gotta be close to one of the top lines in the NFL. You add the backup depth it might be the best in the league. All of the starting line except Ruiz are probowlers
Much better than Baptism through fire in the playoffs. Hopefully N.O can make it to the postseason healthy. That has robbed N.O more than anything. If there is a silver lining regarding all of the injuries we’ve had so far this season, esp on O, its that its allowed so many young players n backups to get valuable playing time AND experience.
Along with Ruiz havn to play at C, both Hurst n Throck have gotten starts n are hanging in there on the O line.
Quez n Deonte have had to step up as the teams #1 n #2 WRs. Kenny Stills has come in n played well. Juwan has flashed as he continues to learn n develop at TE.
Granted, “baptism by fire” ain’t the best way to build depth. But once we get everybody healthy n back, that’s exactly what we’ve done. Because the season is soo long, this could end up bein a saving grace for us!
We’ll see!
How dare Ruiz not be perfect. Thr arrogance of some rookies. To not perform to the exacting standards befitting of All-Pro centers.Baldy can break it all the way down. I have been watching Ceasar Ruiz get his *** kicked for 2 seasons nows he's not a turnstile but damn near close. These plays are fluff he helped on a double team and coasted into a LB following the play. I hope this is the beginning of him settling in. Drew Brees's broken ribs belong to Ruiz

I agree, and even Ram got abused by Chase Young a lot. Ruiz has made some mistakes but has overall played very well. He moved over to C in week one and played well, Carolina was probably his worst game as a Saint and I'm sure their D Coordinator schemed most of that. But even Armstead and Ram get beat, that's life on the O-line.I feel some fans are too tough on Ruiz. Not everyone comes in like Ramcyzk right away and plays at an All Pro level. He's had growing pains but he's also shown good flashes.
I hope McCoy and TA get/stay healthy, and that Ramcyzk uses this week to rest whatever ails him (He's been good but not great this season and I feel he should be great given his talent), and our O Line can hopefully carry us to a playoff run.
I think you have to have a Twitter account to even do a search.Yeah you can do an advanced search on twitter like that :
Actually, I might prefer Hurst to Peat.A line of Ram, McCoy, Peat, Ruiz and Armstead gotta be close to one of the top lines in the NFL. You add the backup depth it might be the best in the league. All of the starting line except Ruiz are probowlers
Let's not act like you ain't been yelling at the TV cus Ruiz let someone in. If you been watching the games you can't miss it!! I would love him to play like an ALL Pro but reality is I will take him playing better then he has. Excuse me for expecting a "NATURAL CENTER" To actually play center and not turnstyle. How dare Ruiz not be perfect. Thr arrogance of some rookies. To not perform to the exacting standards befitting of All-Pro centers.
Pro bowl or not, not a fan of Peat. I do love the tackles and center. Also think Ruiz will continue to blossom into a good player.A line of Ram, McCoy, Peat, Ruiz and Armstead gotta be close to one of the top lines in the NFL. You add the backup depth it might be the best in the league. All of the starting line except Ruiz are prowbowlers.
Didn’t Ram leave the first or second game this season. He is obviously playing less then 100%. Armistead and Ram playing at 80% are still better then some of the backups at 100%.I feel some fans are too tough on Ruiz. Not everyone comes in like Ramcyzk right away and plays at an All Pro level. He's had growing pains but he's also shown good flashes.

He is a good run blocker still developing as a pass protector. People need to realize he came from Michigan, a run first program.a quick recap:
Ruiz was a C at Michigan, n drafted in the 1st rd by the Saints.
The “vision” was to have him play C here n move McCoy to RG.
His injury n shortened TC scrapped those plans.
He ended up playing outta position at RG. He struggled, n had n average/decent season there.
During the offseason, the team informed him he would once again be the starter at RG. He worked on preparing himself ( both mentally, n esp physically, gettin bigger m stronger) to take on the position.
But McCoy goes down in the opener, n now Ruiz has to go back to C. He spent little time there in TC, n was the 3rd string ((emergency?) C behind McCoy n Clapp. But Wil was on IR, which forced him back to C.
Again, after starting out struggling, he seems to have settled down.
But once McCoy comes back, he’ll likely go back to RG!
Under the circumstances, you gotta give him props for both his mental n physical toughness, n how he’s handled everything so far!
