Lol, I took that screenshot and posted it in the "lets pile on our best player and run him out of town" thread. Definitely not photoshopped, but a little misleading.

In that screenshot his leg is touching the very top of the turf, so there's no shadow, but the top of the turf isn't really what you'd call the "ground." By the time his leg actually hits resistance at the actual floor of the turf, his knee was clearly out.

But I maintain that if they called it a catch the first time around it would have been tough to overturn.

Yea and we went out and kicked a very rushed 23 yard FG. There would have been no harm in even taking a delay of game to think it over. Was very uncharacteristic of Payton, who would challenge the color of the football if he could.
