Been a long while since I've hit the music scene in BR. That said, check the Varsity for upcoming shows there. You can also check out The Caterie and Roux house to see what bands they have. The Vineyard is also a nice place to go. It's a casual, but more mature crowd and Chris Leblanc plays there pretty regularly.

Chelsea's might be a place you would want to check out. They have jazz and brass bands every now and again.

I'm not into jazz/blues much but I spend a lot of time at The Spanish Moon which is a nice venue.
