Anyone been recently? I have a ton of comped rooms and thought about going for a night or 2 just to get away. I know they put in those safety measures on the tables and machines. Is it packed? It would probably be a weekend.

Friend was in Biloxi this weekend said it was pretty empty. They had some early outbreaks linked back to casinos right after reopening before mask mandates were in place. No idea since, I just assume everyone has it at this point.

Kinda what I am hoping for... the empty side.

I went to the IP about a month ago. It was empty but the table limits were jacked up to $25.

So, we went this weekend. During the day it was mild. At night was packed.

We went to 4 Casinos and a few restaurants.

Beau Rivage (stayed here)
- Super strict with masks. Take a drink and put your mask back on. What I didn't like was that if you were smoking, you could keep your mask off as long as it's in your mouth. Didn't make any sense.
- Pool was severely limited with a line of about 25 around 2PM on Saturday.
- Tables had partitions. Limited to 3 people.
- Tables and chairs were wiped between players.
- Slots were off to space out.
- They didn't service the rooms between nights. I guess that's a COVID thing?

Hard Rock
- No partitions.
- Sanitizing wipes at every machine. Hand sanitizer at tables.
- Not many people during the day.
- Tables limited to 3 people. No wipe down between players.
- Masks were worn for the most part.

Golden Nugget
- No partitions.
- Tons of people Friday night.
- Slots were off to space out.
- No limit to people at tables. No wipe down between players.
- Masks were worn for the most part.

IP
- No partitions.
- Tons of people Saturday night.
- Slots were off to space out.
- Tables limited to 3 people. No wipe down between players.
- Masks were worn for the most part.

Overall, The Beau Rivage was the most cautious and COVID ready of any casino we visited. We did not visit Boomtown, Scarlet Pearl, or Palace.

Restaurants followed the guidelines... even Waffle House.

We were there 2 full days and the masks were horrible with the smoke and heat/humidity.

My wife and I went out to dinner for our 19th anniversary last night. The restaurant took our temps at the hostess station outside, and masks were mandated until you got to your seat and when the server came to your table. We were seated on the outdoor deck and tables were socially distanced.

Drinks and food were both excellent in this "new normal" atmosphere.

Island View in Gulfport covered up a sick employee from what I've heard. I have a close friend who works there
