Because it's "tire kicking" season.....Corey Davis (1 Viewer)

Tough one there. This is going to be an interesting free agency period. Can't recall a year with so much talent on the open market. Add to that a new CBA might get completed before Free Agency boosting Cap Space league wide.

Davis is not a FA. He is under contract for 2020.
That’s why I posted the image which says they don’t expect the Titans to keep him (exercise his 5th year option).

I guess one reason I like this guy (beyond what I said above), and think he has potential, is driven by.... Marcus Mariotta. Want to thwart the development of a young WR? Marcus is your man.

That's my bad then. Usually kicking the tires is on a free agent whereas Davis would have to be traded for. I was one who wanted us to trade for him before the deadline as I do agree with you that he would benefit from a fresh start.

If they decline his 5th year option, I think he becomes a free agent. Although, they could try to trade him before they do that.

After this season. He's still under contract for this upcoming season.
You are absolutely right! My bad. I thought he came out sooner and this was the 5th year. It would need to be by trade, unless they outright released him, which I doubt they'd do. OK, trade it is. Lets give them all of our 8th round picks for the next 10 years. ;)

I know nothing about this dude because I don't watch Western Michigan or the Titans. That said, I have a solid plan for upgrading our WR group this offseason. I decided the best way to demonstrate it was in flowchart form:

Not a bust, but hasn't broken out. I've always been intrigued by this guy's athletic ability and speed. Mickey and Sean, put those tire kicking shoes on. We need WR help. I hope this guy gets a fresh start somewhere. Here would be nice.

Price has got to be right

But he could be one of those high reward free agent players. Just hasn't stayed healthy and hasn't benefitted with having to play with Marcus Marriota throwing him the ball.

If hes cheap, this could be that kind of deal that makes a GM look really smart if it works out

I thought the same thing about him. Then Tannehill started lighting it up and Davis still wasn't really a big factor. Other WR were ahead of him in the pecking order.

That said, he "should" be a low risk high reward type of player. I'm not against it. I say should assuming he cost pennies to get. If his price goes up because of his draft status I wouldn't chance it. I wouldn't automatically consider him the answer either.

I watch a lot of MAC football. I thought he was worth a 2nd or 3rd. I was stunned he went in the 1st and almost had a heart attack when he went top 5. I would love to see him opposite of Thomas, I think he would thrive.

Oh it was evidently clear in college that he would be a first round pick and clear as day he’d be top 10 heading into the draft. Due to betting I get stuck watching almost all MAC games too, haha
