The Cincinnati Bengals had to wait until first-year head coach Zac Taylor finished his 2018 season with the Los Angeles Rams to begin building their staff, and now they’re playing catch-up. Taylor’s search for a defensive coordinator has resulted in several reports connected to the New Orleans Saints and their staff, the latest candidate being defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn. Cincinnati previously expressed interest in Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen before he signed a contract extension, as well as linebackers coach Mike Nolan. The report connecting the Bengals to Glenn comes from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Pelissero names several other coaches on the Bengals list in addition to Glenn: former Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel, Los Angeles Rams defensive backs coach Aubrey Pleasant, and some college defensive coordinators in Texas A&M’s Mike Elko and Florida’s Todd Grantham. ...
