Dorsey or Ellis....maybe?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3274297

The New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a trade that would send defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Bengals in exchange for Cincinnati's fourth- and fifth-round picks (Nos. 114 and 151) in the upcoming draft, according to league sources.

Really? Thought the Jets wanted a first (which was HIGHLY over valued btw)?

Oh well - seems to me the Bengals would prefer to upgrade their DL through FA. Thank goodness.

Keeps looking more and more that way.... I bet Dorsey falls to #10... and in typical Saints fashion... we'll take a WR, RB, DE, or OT instead of him.

:splat:

Seriously, we really need to bring in Johnson or Gold at OLB so that we can land a DT in the 1st and then pick the best remaining CB in the 2nd. Someone should fall. We'd almost be a full team.

If Dorsey is HIGH on their board, I think they would take him.

Sure about that one? I think the Bengals are a 4-3 that had a hole at DT....picking right in front of us.

They really need a DE so maybe, now that this isn't a need, they'll target one of them.

So with the Jets signing Jenkins and now the Bengals getting Roberston....

Mark those two teams that pick before us off the list of folks that might draft Dorsey or Ellis.

Don't act as if that has never hapened... remember trading up (thinking we were going to take Derrick Johnson)..... then picking Jamal Brown.... remember drafting Deuce (thinking we were going to take Wille Middlebrooks) even though we already had Ricky.... remember drafting Stallworth (thinking we were going to take Phillip Buchanon).... remember drafting Will Smith (thinking we were going to take anything that resembled a LB) even though we had Darren Howard???

I really would have loved the Saints to make this deal. Robertson is completely out of position with the Jets and I think he will excell as a 3-tech in a 4-3 scheme.

This is crazy, there's a possibility that both will be there at 10. Much higher than a week ago.

if they are switching to 3-4, this trade doesnt make sense then. robertson played in a 3-4 with the jets and many said that he doesnt fit there system. thats why they traded for jenkins. this trade makes it seem they want to stay 4-3, which is horrible for us.

Oakland, too. I doubt Miami takes one with the #1. NE and BAL don't need one, so KC, ATL, and the Rams...I'm not sure what they need but hopefully KC tries to fix the OL and ATL goes QB...unless someone does something crazy like pick BPA we may have one of them. :9:

I know its happened and is highly likely to happen again. The fishsmack was for the buzzkill you put on me. :hihi:
