The only question about you is using "Houston" in your SR name. You couldn't have use Thibodaux Saints or Tchopotoulus Saint or Grand Isle Saint or.... "Houston". hmmm..... That's kinda concerning

I think Benson Circle is a fantastic idea. We need a petition started.

I’ve said this to friends and family members a while ago but since they got rid of general lee they should replace him with benson or Brees

I am 100% for it too.... I think it's a fantastic idea!! Benson's story with the Saints has a story to tell.... From the bottom up, loved kids, kepted his sense of humor, wanted to win for the city!! It's time for those type of statues to rise above the pasts' ghosts....It is a more uplifting story, we need to let go of the past and it's dark reminders and let the masses be inspired by the good not just the bad....IMO

Why Should that concern you . there are thousands of Saints Fans IN Houston. I've been here since 1992. then Katrina happened and our fan base here more than quadrupled. Loyal Saints Fans are everywhere in the world.!

Benson Circle?

**** that, let's stick that big bronze statue of Benson in that little park in front of St. Louis Cathedral and rename it Benson Square and be done with it.

He saved the city more recently than Jackson did anyway, and SLC was his favorite church. I'd much rather have a monument to a philanthropist than a general anyway.

They need to turn the statue into a bigger deal. A shrine of sorts. This team would've been long gone a long time ago if it weren't for him buying them when he did.

Guy on another board suggested this, I can get behind it. Rename Lee Circle to Benson Circle.

I honestly think its the best way to heal the controversy with these statures. I do not believe they should have been taken down. It is our history, but it is done, and I think this is the best idea by far for it. Benson only brings back happy memories for me.

Not sure what history you're ready but at a minimum have some respect for someone else's opinion that was inflammatory in no way

Cause I like Saints Fans In Houston and most of his posts. I like to have some fun on the board with people I like.

Nearly all of us who have been sentenced to live in Houston share a common misery. In the deep south, if you want to make money, Houston is the place. It also has a special misery about it that needs to be expereinced to be shared
