Any suggestions?

We will have a bottle of wine with dinner maybe 3 -4 nights a week. Looking to try some new wines other than the standards we seem to drink.

Recenlty we liked Le Crema Chardoney you can get that for about 19-23 a bottle,

Santa Margarita is probably the BEST Pinot Grigio under $30.00, I used to buy the 2005 for about $18.00 a bottle, it seem everyone has discovered it, or 2006 was an even better year, currently all I can find is the 2006 for about 23 - 28 a bottle.

Kendall Jackson, Vinters Reserve Chardoney is a great buy at about 12 - 15 bottles a bottle, easily my favor wine by Kendall Jackson, better than some I have paid over $25.00 a bottle for.

Also Robert Mondavi private collection's is a good chardonnay for About 15 a bottle.

Though my pallet for reds is not quite as refined as my pallet for whites, I find that clos du bois merlot is very good for about 20.00 a bottle.

Kendall Jackson Vinters reserve Cab Sav is very good as well.

Since you listed whites...

Les Charmes is a very nice, inexpensive French Chardonnay. Usually $10-13/bottle and widely available. It doesn't have the thick, buttery taste common to California Chardonnay (it's "unoaked"). Quite dry, and if you like the wines you listed in your post, you will really like this one. It has a yellow wrapper over the cork.

I have one word of advice for people who generally drink - 5-10 dollar bottles of wine.. What you can get for between 10 - 25 dollars is SO MUCH BETTER than the 5-10... Spend a few extra bucks and pair the food properly with the wine, and you will appriciate it even more...

You should be able to find all of these no higher than $15, but usually much less. You're wrong on your last statement as well. I know people who run wine shops that will tell you different. One of the best bottles of wine I ever had cost $9 (it was on sale marked down from $16). I am still trying to top it.

La Playa Sauvignon Blanc (Chile)
Sanz Rueda (Spain)
Mano A Mano Tempranillo (Spain)
Bodegas Luzon (Spain)
Coastal Estates Cabernet Sauvignon (California)
Penfold's Rawson's Retreat Shiraz (Australia)
Rosemount Shiraz/Cab (Australia)

I like the Spanish wines. Can you tell?

I'm sure Brennan and Ted can/will give you a much longer list. They pointed me in the right direction long ago.

I like the Spanish wines too.

IMO, Rosemount is terrible.

Also I would like some suggestions of what meal to pair with it..

I made a homemade Afredo Sauce (Shrimp Fettucini) with the Kendall Jackson Vintner's reserve chardonnay, very nice meal..

Subscribing...

Cabert Pino Grigio

It's a little higher than your range if you have to buy in a restaurant, but I had it at Palace Cafe and it was wonderful with the roast quail. I've not found it anywhere other than on menus so I don't know if it can be had elsewhere, but I don't see why not.

You're nuts. Rosemount's Shiraz/Cabernet is $$$$. It's one of the best buys for the money. You can usually find it for less than $8.

A fantastic wine with red meat I've found is Condado de Haza (Spain). I wouldnt recommend it just to drink, but with good red meat is very, very good.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one. My MIL drinks it, and there's just something about it that I don't like (and this is coming from someone who drinks Concha Y Toro's Frontera line on a fairly regular basis - another decent wine in the "cheap" category).

One of my favorite reds is Schug's Pinot Noir. It's around $30, but tastes pretty much exactly like a Pinot should.

If you like Kendall Jackson you'll probably like Turning Leaf (a cheaper alternative) and a big booming fruity wine like Black Opal (from Australia). You'll probably also like the Yellow Tail family of wines.

Not that you asked, but I'll offer. The best wine under $5 on the market is Crane Lake. Up here it goes for $3.99 a bottle.

I'm drinking one right now called Sebastiani(2005), Cabernet Sauvigon, and it's really good. I think it was like 15-16 can't remember exactly.

SWJJ, Problem with the european wines in particular is that the dollar is so weak against the euro that we're starting to see major increases in wine prices. Thats why the increase in the santa margherita pinot grigio. Also the price of gas dosen't help either. The price range you are in you should be happy with a few if not all of these recs.
