Phil's Grill is IMO the best. Ground Pati makes a good burger.

Bud's Broiler has gone downhill, and the one on Clearview is just plain awful.

Lee's is also very good. New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood is good, but I do not like their new restaurant setup.

We need a Five Guys and/or a Whataburger.

I've been thinking about opening a hot dog stand because we don't have any good ones here in NO, but I'm afraid I'd starve if I ever tried to open a burger joint because I like them smashed-down flat on the grill like they used to make them in Texas when I was growing up. NO is thick burger country and although Port O Call makes a good one, I still prefer those old fashioned Texas style thin patties.

yo mamas arent thick. i like thin too.

I agree with Zea's. Very good cheeseburger. They recently opened a Lee's in Covington, excellent burger for the money. :D

THAT is good to know. I'm going to get down there soon in that case. Where are they, on St. Peter?

Yeah i love the bacon cheeseburger but they have a decent selection. all different kinds of burgers.

Here in my city in Brazil, there is not a single hamburger place in a city of 600,000 people, that doesn't use frozen patties.

On the other hand, they go overboard with bacon and cheese usually add about 5 strips of bacon and 4 slices of mozzarella melted on the grill, so that helps.

Laketown Bar and Grill....on Williams Blvd toward the lake....nice little sports bar that serves up some of the best tasting burgers around....way better than Port O Call and Yo Mama's in my honest opinion...and you get to watch Saints...LSU or any other game on television at the same time...:9:

The Prop Stop, on the Tickfaw River, has a good burger. Known as the "swamp burger" they're huge and pretty spicy.

Buds Broiler!

+1 -- I love Buds broiler -- not your fancy rest burger -- just a good tasting burger with lots of options
