I searched and if I am missing a thread about the best comedy series ever, I will blue myself.

The original run of Arrested Development are the best three years of comedy on television ever.

Change my mind (shout out to my girl).

Agree that arrested development is one of the best

First 7 years of the Simpsons goes toe to toe with any sitcom out there and has to be on TV comedy’s Mount Rushmore

First few seasons of the Cosby Show

Frasier and the Golden Girls

It’s been years since I’ve seen it but I imagine that Cheers still holds up well

Being a Brit I have an Affinity for Red Dwarf and Black Adder, but as far as US stuff, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia is my pick

I thought about Fleabag, but there is so much sadness in it.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is one of (I think the best) writers on television today.

I don't really do comedy series anymore either.

two problems. Every situation of the sit-com has been done.

laugh tracks - once you hear them you can't unhear them.

But Arrested Development was good. Frazier was really good. Coach and Cheers both really good. And I probably have seen every episode of the show about nothing.

These days I prefer dark humor. Like "Happy" or The Boys (sort of)

I think The Good Place is original as far as network TV goes.

No minds will be changed in this thread.

Disclosure: I forgot about this storyline and thought you were going Smurf on me at first
