Best New Orleans Area Restaurants. Your opinions? (1 Viewer)

Yep. I live in Navarre. There are "Lakeview people" in the neighborhood for sure, but it feels more like New Orleans than Lakeview.
Hey neighbor!
I live near you for sure.
I live the area.
Navarre area feels different like I said.
Houses are def older and more interesting than the McMansions north of 610.

Do anywhere in the New Orleans area have a best bagels place?

Humble is better than solid (not quite as good as my two favorite bagel places in NY, but just below)
Many others swear by Flour Moon, but I’ve never had them

Leo’s Bread is the bagel hill that I’m willing to die on. The lox and cream cheese with everything on it is ridiculous.

Flour moon is my go-to. I’ve heard good things about Leo’s too.

I’ve been on that street dozens of times, but when I saw your post I was like ‘where the bleep is Bell st?’
That’s a fun funky area

Does this guy (who doesn't know how to pronounce New Orleans) know what he's talking about or is he a shill? He does have a couple right, me thinks.

I think he got some right just by dumb luck but that’s a pretty bad list (IMO of course). That’s reeks of a repost of paid FQ tourist literature.

Nothing from Bucktown/Lakefront on there, and they should have at least 3 above most of these? (GW does deserve number 1 and it would be fair to give Peche 2, but Deanie’s? Seriously?)

GW Fins is awesome, some of the best fish dishes I've ever had.....Grilled Cobia with hot pepper and sweet melon reduction....to die for.....no argument there....

But Deanies? Mr. Ed's is far superior (also my older sister was Mr. Ed's 7th grade English teacher)......but I'm not sure it would make my top 10 list....maybe.....

And Dragos oysters are truly the best, but as a whole just average compared to all the other great places....

I agree, this sounds like a touristy list.....
