One of the best comedies of all time and a great opening. Forgot about this one.

Goodfellows ranks up there for me as well.

This is the best opening sequence ever filmed IMHO. The text credits come later.

A COUPLE OF DIRTY WORDS ON THE VID Turn up your speakers.

The black and white pre-title sequence of James Bond earning his 00 status in Casino Royale with the casino themed credits accompanied by Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name".

It may not seem so cool by today's standards but...

Star Wars (the first one).

Why? Because there weren't any opening credits. It was the first movie ever (I think) not even to have opening credits. The flying text at the beginning of the movie was really unique too. Then fading into the ship flying right over your head (especially with the surround sound where you actually heard the ship flying over your head - something else that had never been done before). In it's day, it was beyond anything. Way beyond.

That was actually my first thought to this thread but then I figured it didn't count because of the lack of credits....but nothing put goosebumps on me than seeing this with my Dad when they were re-released.

Panic Room is my favorite... awesome... if you like architecture that is.

QFT. Back in high school when I was naughty, we'd smoke some weed and turn the lights off and watch the opening over and over. It's still awesome now and I don't even drink anymore!

Old movie, but the opening lines from "Kentucky Fried Movie"

News guy. "The popcorn your are eating has been "_ _ _ _ _ _" in"
