Saints owner Tom Benson drew a big applause when he spoke to fans from the sidelines during the two-minute warning, thanked them for selling out the Louisiana Superdome for the season, and announced a freeze on season-ticket prices for next year.

It's a shame these days when "not increasing ticket prices" is headline news, but in fairness a lot of the tickets were priced very low this year. It was also pleased to see him interact with the players and fans on the sidelines.

I'm not so sure it's all about what Benson wants anymore! The League now is such a business, there are factors interacting here we cna't even hope to know.. I Just hope the powers that be understand how entrenched this TEAM is and what they mean to the essence of what New Orleans has come to be. I know New Orleans was huge prior to the SAINTS but they do offer a way of getting attention to the City in a way that precious other businesses can. I mean, they are way better than another great resteraunt or parade! It's the SAINTS for cry'in out loud!!!!!!!!!!

I thought he said what ya'll did. But Rita was on WWL radio and its only if you renew your tickets by a certain date that prices are not going to be raised for you. I think ticket prices are going up.

Channel 6 reports tonight that Tom Benson is so excited over the way the Saints are headed and the dedication of New Orleans fans that there is officially now a price freeze on season tickets...."What you pay this year, you pay next year...NO increase."
