N/S Bills Fan Pushes Recently Cancer-Free Child Down Stairs (1 Viewer)

Ha, went to Rich Stadium when we played them when we still had Reggie. We kicked their butts so bad that day. We were in one of the first rows and grown men threw their food and drinks on me and my family, including my 9 and 13 year old and my wife. One man called my 9 year old the c word when Reggie gave him his game gloves. They are terrible people
Every fan base has those types of people. Disgusting and vile.

I have similar stories at many stadiums.

I've been to both Buffalo and Philly in Saints gear and didn't have any real issues. Some heckling which is fine and some dude putting his foam finger in my beer and then wiping my face with it. That got me out of my seat and I don't know if it's that I'm 6'6" or that every other fan around, including his friends were like "what are you doing? He's just sitting there."

I want to go Sunday as I'm watching prices plummet (I live in NJ) but can't find anyone to go with and I'm not going alone wearing the black and gold.

I'm sure this won't be popluar, but is there any actual proof the guy did this? Was there a video?
LOL, why would that be necessary? Posts on Twitter / X are all that's needed these days.

Wasn't it last season some guy from Europe posted that Superdome staff took down his sign and ripped it up in front of him? I don't recall anyone actually seeing it happen, and yet we had 20 pages on here calling for the entire Dome staff to be terminated/prosecuted/executed, for Gayle to issue a sobbing public apology, etc

Yes…and I also have questions too.

She says it happened when the fan passed them (I assume on the stairs).

So does that mean the fan knocked her down while passing? Perhaps accidentally?

Also, how far did she fall? The term “pushed down stairs” conjures images of a long bumpy tumble. Did she just slip down a couple of stairs without injury? I have a child who when smaller stumbled their fair share of times navigating the SuperDome steps.

Here’s some other things to consider out of fairness -

Fan might have been intoxicated to the point of poor spatial awareness.

It was snowy, so footing was likely impacted.

It’s a packed stadium with lots of movement and sounds.

Not saying the guy isn’t a jerk - but I’m curious to know how aware he was on any of this incident at the time.

Not sure how the contact between the guy and the little girl occurred. But I did read the little girl fell over a couple of rows down the stairs and ended up between the seats which broke her tumbling down the stairs.

At this point, we know two things. The family says she was pushed, which means arms extended from the guy. And the girl went down in a rough way.

I agree. I’ve apologized to opposing fans walking down Poydras when drunken Saints fans go overboard. Drunken idiots mocking a grandpa and his young grandson minding their own business comes to mind. When people act complete fools and start swearing uncontrollably in front of small kids, it just strikes a nerve with me. Especially when completely unprovoked.

I mean, i'm not denying truth to the story but boy there is a lot of context missing.
Yeah, for sure.

After the Homecoming game in 2006, me and my son were walking (actually, shuffling) on the stadium concourse right outside the main Poydras entrance, along with thousands of others. Many were celebrating like crazy but we were just walking/shuffling.

Somebody celebrating bumps into my son (literally one of the nicest, gentlest guys around) and he then bumps into a little girl shuffling with her parents next to us. Before my son can even apologize, the dad completely loses his sheet and doesn't want to hear anything about us being bumped by others or apologies or anything, wanting to throw down right there in front of his family. And this is after one of the happiest and most emotional wins in Saints history.

So, yeah, I'm interested in a bit more context also.
