BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter currently in development at Irrational Games, the studio behind the original BioShock (which sold over 4 million units worldwide). Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky.

Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.

I casually enjoyed the first bioshock... I didn't hate it or love it.

Never played bioshock 2.

But this one.... this one looks like it could be epic.

I thought the 1st was one of the coolest games I'd played in a long time. In fact, I played it directly through. The second, I was really excited for...when I got it, I played it a day or two, then shelved it. A few months later I brought it out and tried playing again, and its once again on the shelf. I just couldn't get into the second. Unless it turns around as a game, I don't anticipate getting the next one.

i played the demo of the first and didn't think enough of it to actually buy it and i haven't played the second at all.. but i've convinced myself that one day i'll give both of them more of a chance

I played some of the first and thought it was meh, never played 2. Probably wont play this one.

this is about how i feel....the first one just got boring

it's really nothing more than a FPS with different pants on

did anyone ever try the multiplayer for the 2nd? i was curious about it

This echos my thoughts exactly. The first one was epic, I thought. I played through maybe 3 times trying different stuff. The atmosphere was incredible. Bio2....meh. I'd already been there and I really didn't like the idea of playing as a Big Daddy. I tried to get into it, but eventually just shelved it.

Me too. I actually finished the first one (on PC), which doesn't normally happen. I didn't even buy the second one.

15 minutes of gameplay. looks kinda cool but i feel like i would need to play the first two to understand this one

from what i understand, Infinite is not related to the first two Bioshock games at all
