I agree. I also enjoyed the movie with the exception of one MINOR issue...
I would have liked to see what the actual entity looked like. Did it/they actually look like the drawings? And speaking of which, was it ever truly explained how the certain few were able to survive seeing the entity? Was it just because they had mental issues? So technically, that's two issues.
I see a few people are talking about psychopaths being able to see the "thing" or whatever and not be affected. Just wonderinng if that is because of the story told by the guy who gets into the house - the guy with the drawings. He told the story of the inmates of the insane asylum. If so, why do you believe that story? Clearly he was lying about stuff, why believe that.
If it is just some general idea about the people who can view it and not be affected, why? And what makes their eyes weird?
I agree with someone who wrote earlier that there needs to be clues as to what is going on unless the actual thing really isn;t central to the point.
I enjoyed the movie, but I thought the ending was very weak. The way it was revealed that they were at a School for the Blind just seemed so cheap - as if that was some sort of big revelation.
I assumed it was psychopaths and the mentally unstable because if it's not and monsters specifically pick those people then why? Wouldn't they chose someone like Tom who is strong and athletic? Wouldn't the monsters be able to do more damage with those types?
Also I think everyone's eyes go weird, they just didn't focus on that until after he revels himself. You see the old lady's eyes do the same thing right before she stabs herself
At some point in the movie I was thinking the "creature" was something like The Angel of Death (a la Raiders of the Lost Ark) and maybe the people who can see and not kill themselves are the chosen one and they need everyone who is not chosen to die before they can "move on" or whatever.

we kinda have a de facto 1 week spoiler free thread rule, right?at what point can we stop the spoiler tags? I mean, it isn't like this movie is in
the theater. if you haven't seen it by now, then it's your own fault.

when was this released?
then i would think that if OP @bigdaddysaints or a Mod edited "spoilers" into the title, we should be goodDecember 21st.
