Bitcoin and Crypto Talk (Merged)(includes NFT) (3 Viewers)

I keep seeing 100k+ by next year. Not sure if that's crazy high or crazy low.

Imma keep buying pull backs. BTC was down below $30K in late July after hitting all-time high in April. I think it's likely well see it have cycles like that - with a general upward trend.

Just an example of how ridiculous the NFT space is. Last night, someone with 8 cryptopunks sold 1 of them for 108 ETH and then bought up 87 cryptodads raising the floor price on crypto dads to about 1.45 ETH. THe money these people have is just nuts. Total FU money.

I’ve been looking at NFTs and trying to understand it all. It just seems so odd. Like I have this digital piece of art that’s “one of a kind” or “unique” (even though the image can be saved and replicated all over), and somehow having the “original” one is valuable? IDK.

Also, go SHIB! Funny thing is that my son mentioned it to me maybe last year around this time, and I blew him off. But I got some on a whim just after it started moving recently.

Agreed, NFTs seem a little too abstract and conceptual to me, just hard to wrap my brain around.. For whatever reason, my Shibas seem more ’tangible’ and seem like a little bit more of a known quantity, though in reality the concept of them is just about as crazy as NFTs.

I get that. I also think there are a lot of folks wishing they'd left their collectables in excellent condition and there's pictures of those all over the place. But only a select few can say mine isn't a copy.

I really think part of it is a combination of tons of liquidity and savings in the market looking for assets. I think a small percentage of NFTs will have true collectable value on their own merit but most will have value propped up only by the belief in the NFT system as an asset class. I don't suppose that's unique but I think it's true.
