The New Orleans Saints discovered a uniquely devastating way to lose on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
With 1:22 remaining in the fourth quarter, Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks caught a 32-yard touchdown to tie the game at 23-23. An extra point would've given New Orleans a lead.
Instead, Denver Broncos rookie safety Justin Simmons leaped over the line, blocked Wil Lutz's extra-point attempt and safety Will Parks returned it for two points to give the Broncos (7-3) a 25-23 victory.
