Bo Pelini watch (1 Viewer)

This is an old article, but a really good breakdown of Derek Mason as a defensive guru.

If he makes the right choices, O has a chance to recreate a championship culture. Big "if," though, given last year's hires and his OC hire before Ensminger-Brady.

Bill Johnson also retiring from on field coaching to being an analyst. Need a new DL coach too. Seems the thread title isnā€™t broad enough. :winkthumb:

A fresh start. Hire the right coaches. Big names aren't a requirement.
Given the lack of money for the upcoming hires, Orgeron and Woodward are going to have to find some young, up-and-coming offensive and defensive wonder boys with the idea of keeping them around for two or three years. (Another Joe Brady and the defensive version of Joe Brady.) If they can do that and get the program back into the championship, then we will all be able to forget this weird, bad year of LSU football.

absolutely need young bright minds.

No more re-treads.

Wonder if Kellen Moore, if released by Cowboys, would be worth a look.

Money is no object. If it was they would not have fired Bo. LSU will pay high dollar to get the OC or DC they want. If O wants the Cincy coach they will have to pay top dollar to get him & he might be a 1 year coach as he wants a head coaching job.
