The Saints are back at .500 tonight, as their 41-23 smack down on the struggling San Francisco 49ers awarded them their fourth win in five games. The Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert picked apart the victory on the "The Point After."
In the second half, the Saints held the 49ers to a mere field goal, but at the end of the first half the combined score of 51 was the largest in the NFL. Praise be to the Saints defense.
"I didn't think we would win this convincingly," Bobby said, "But time of possession was almost 2-to-1, 39 minutes to 21 minutes, and then you win by 18 points... any time you're in double digits, that speaks for itself, and then if you're plus four in the turnover margin, I don't care who you're playing. I guarantee if we're plus four, we'll beat the Broncos, we'll beat anybody. You're hard pressed not to win if you're plus four in the turnover margin, and now we're in plus four on the season. So that's gonna go a long way in helping us turn things around."
