Against everyone's greatest hopes, the Saints were not able to keep up with the Atlanta Falcons Monday night in the Dome. Bobby pulled no punches in his post-game recap.
"They got waxed!" he began on 'The Point After.' "How many games you think you're gonna win, giving up 200 yards rushing and minus two in turnovers? Might be 100%. We were plus two going into the game, that was encouraging, now we've even for the season but minus two for the game. It seems like the Falcons took their foot off the pedal - or they might have had 300 yards rushing!"
This was no ordinary loss, as if any Saints fan needed to be told that. It was the kind of stinging rebuke the likes of which we haven't seen in modern Saints history.
