Someone else gave me that same advice. Unfortunately, it's a night class, so that's missing an entire week of class for this. 1/14 of the semester. Plus then it would screw up my Thursday night section of the same course. :dunno:

Give them some extra homework. That's what my professors always did...cancel class with a note on the door with an assignment of things to do before next class.
