Great deal for the Pels. If they can't re-sign Boogie next year, they can always trade him. They may not get exactly what they put in, but showing Davis you're serious about getting him the pieces he needs to compete makes this deal worth it. Pels are gonna bang all over GSW if they can steal the 8th seed from Denver. They'll probably take them to 6 or 7 games.

I have not seen or heard this reported anywhere other than on this thread. If its true, then I'm better with the trade, but if not true, I think it was too much to give up for a guy with suspension problems and less than a year and a half left on his contract. Do you realize he gets suspended for a game the next time he gets T'd up?

This is awesome for the Pels. I wanted Boogie to come to NOLA with Davis for a while. The front court just went top three in the whole league and they haven'e even played yet.

In this case it's Top 3 protected, so if the Pelicans do miss the playoffs this season and get lucky in the lottery and move into the top 3 picks then they get to keep the pick and the pick that Sacramento is owed rolls to next year. If the pick is 4th or lower then Sacramento gets it.

Well he did lose a potential $30 million dollars on his next contract that only the Kings had the ability to offer.
