Saints fans:
I'm doing research for a book on displaced New Orleans Saints fans tied to the team's success this season and am looking for a few fans to tell their stories.
The book will be a nonfiction chronicle of the experiences of the team’s fans displaced from the city by Hurricane Katrina to other parts of the country. The book will tell the stories of Saints fans who have not been able to return to New Orleans; their joy in following the team’s success this season; and how the team’s winning season has served as a temporary diversion from the wounds that continue to persist as a result of the hurricane’s devastation.
In particular, I'm looking for former New Orleans residents and Saints fans who were forced to leave the city because of the hurricane; have not been able to return to the city; and are adjusting to their new environment but are finding solace in the team's success this season.
If you have a compelling story and are willing to talk to me about it, please contact me at clayton1972@sbcglobal.net or 773.456.0926.
Thanks, and Geaux Saints!
