I got up at about 8 Am this morning and have been up since. I tried to get some sleep this afternoon but couldnt quite dose off.

I feel so sleepy I could go to bed for 2-3 days right now, I just feel so wired I dont know If I can right away. It has always been hard for me to get to sleep I must say so.

Do you guys feel the same way I do? I mean quite honestly I could sleep so much right now a speeding train couldnt wake me up.

Bad thing is, I have league bowling tommorrow night and will spend 4-5 hours in a very loud smoke infested bowling alley you only see in Alabama.

Wish me luck, I will need it

- I hear ya, Saintman. I have trouble sleeping, too, and sometimes I wander through the day like a zombie. Today was one of those days. There are some things that help me, though- I try to get exercise when I can, especially running or anything that wears me out . And I try not to drink anything with caffiene after lunch, which helps me fall asleep at night. Hope that helps; good luck...

Go to a doctor and get a script to a sleeping med. Or start smoking something illegal that rhymes with reed. Benadryl helps as well. If none of thee above helps, try exercising during the day... pushups, situps, jogging, walking, punching bag, porn. Their are many reasons on why people can't sleep. Anxiety due to an approaching football season is one thing, but insomnia is another. If it is a real problem, consult a doctor.

I don't know, Saintsman. Pretty much every bowling alley I've been in gets like that. You should go to the Rock & Bowl here in New Orleans next time you're in town.

Glad I didn't stop by the EE last night at this time...

Don't you dare start taking some dang prescription bs. Exercise is a great way to wear you down. You get a better sleep that way also.

So what is keeping you awake? Your brain? Too much stuff running around in there? If that's the case, take each issue and solve/resolve them one by one. Your sleep will improve as you take care of them.

Try going to Walgreen's and getting some melatonin. It's the chemical that your brain produces to regulate your sleep cycle. At least that's what I've read. It doesn't make you sleepy, it just lets you fall asleep when you are tired. Hard to explain, really. Exercise is a really good idea, also.

I'm confused. You woke up at 8:00 A.M. and wrote that you were tired at 11:51 P.M.? Isn't that called a typical work day?

And if you're having trouble sleeping, I agree with the exercise suggestions out there. lift some weights and jog a mile or two. You'll go down faster than Paris Hilton at a {Pre-emptive Self-Edit}.
