Boycott Chick fil a? (1 Viewer)

We have so many choices for chicken these days in my little town. There is 3 Popeyes within 15 minutes of each other, we have a Raising Canes that just opened, a Dave’s Hot Chicken, a CFA, and a KFC. All within a fairly small radius. I love Popeyes but up here they seem to over cook it at all three locations. Canes is just ok. Daves is good but not great. KFC is never an option for me. But CFA is always good, always the same, steady if you will.

anybody try guthrie's?

they claim to have "invented" chicken fingers and one opened not too far from us, but we haven't yet gone

their chicken looks crusty rather than meaty

What about Gus’s Fried Chicken? I went once in Metairie. Tried fingers and a dark meat on the bone combo. Wasn’t impressed.

I have nothing good to say about fingers as a rule. I went when the downtown one opened and I thought the chicken was pretty good. But it was expensive and the sides were all pretty bad.

thank goodness they haven't opened one closer to my house. there are 2 within 15 minutes, but if I'm going to pickup, there are too many other choices less than 5 minutes away. popeyes being one of them. imo, an over cooked popeyes chicken sandwich is better than a always right mediocre Chic fil a chicken sandwich. me and the wife disagree about Popeyes vs CFA...

Popeyes 'service' excludes it as a possibility for me. It just takes too long and the order is all but guaranteed to be wrong.

I've never had an issue with the order being wrong (no more that any other place, cfa included) but i 99% of the time use the App, so i don't have to deal with the service.

Where is this mythical Popeyes that gets your food ready and accurately within a reasonable period of time by using their app?

We used to have one about two miles from the house .... for about three years. It lost its charm for everyone apparently in the first six months
