Blasphemy!!!

Brandin Cooks is a stud, and probably the most underappreciated budding superstar on this team. He just went off for 5 catches, 186 yards. The guy is 23 years old and already has two 1,000 yard seasons. He's one of the best deep threats in the NFL and he's only getting better. I know that there is lots of optimism for Michael Thomas, who've I've already been on record in saying is a guy who I believe will be better than Colston, Horn, and Martin when it's all said and done. But there is absolutely no reason why Cooks and Thomas can't co-exist in the hearts of Saints fans. If the Saints are going to be successful over the next decade...the two of them will be a big reason why.

He IS the future of this team and any talk of trading him is short sighted. There is NO single player on this team, going forward, more important than Cooks.

It's too late. He's already been marked, so a 1000 yard 10 TD year means nothing because he isn't very good despite being the same age as most rookies entering the NFL.

Couldn't you turn the Cooks appreciation thread into the Michael Thomas appreciation thread, afterall, without MT last week Cooks was quiet like a church mouse. When MT came in to take away coverage Cooks went off.

Good jobs Cooks. Keep it up!

Cooks is a major asset to this team going forward, him and Mike Thomas complement each other so well, and open things up for each other.

So a young player had a slip-up, I'm sure we can forgive and chalk it up as a learning experience for him, because those explosive plays will keep coming as long as he's on the field.

Way to take a shot at Cooks.

What shot? The one that said "good job Cooks. Keep it up!" or the comment made prior to it saying that MT was as responsible for Cooks success as Brandon was? Neither is a shot. I mean, I guess it could be taken as a shot by some people, but those few people probably don't know much about complimentary football.

Sometimes, week to week, play to play, Cooks takes away coverage from Thomas. Sometimes, week to week, play to play, Thomas takes coverage away from Cooks. It's a supreme WR combo. Both are amazing. I'm grateful for them both and hope they both stay around for years to come.

Snead is the more reliable option on 3rd down. Therefore he is my favorite , plus he can throw

You'd think after years of watching Meachem, Henderson and Colston, that fans would understand how this works.

Cooks and Thomas are 1a and 1b. When one is covered the other is open.

Yesterday our offense did everything it was supposed to do, Cooks got behind defenders because Snead and Thomas were drawing coverage. When They started covering Cooks that left Snead and Thomas open.

Thomas made the big man catch for a TD on goal-line.

Cooks just needs to understand that when the team eats, he'll eat. The rams game was just one of those times where the play just wasn't there.

Players like Mark and Cooks are competitors, they want to be great and you want that on your team.

I guess through all my ramblings the point I'm trying to make is Thomas is like Colston, when the game is on the line and you need a first down that is the guy who's getting the ball. When you need to make a game changing play and open up the offense, it's obviously Cooks.

and to go in a completely different direction, for all of the criticism that Fleener has gotten, he's the one that made the huge 1st down catch to ice the game yesterday.
