Brees and Free Agent visits.. (1 Viewer)

If I was a defensive, veteran player that didn't have a relationship with Drew, I'd think it pretty arrogant of him to come in and think his presence would influence my decision. I'd wonder what the heck the coaches and front office were thinking to put a quarterback in a defensive player's meeting to talk about possible contract negotiations.

I could see this as a benefit if the players were one that the team really wanted, and Drew could be there to sway that player. To impress the FA, is the point.

But aren't there more instances of the FA trying to convince the team they would be a good fit, or their price, etc.? There has to be a lot of situations where the FA would love to play for the team, but the FO isn't impressed, or won't go on a salary.
