Left tackle Strief plays well in first NFL start

TAMPA, FLA. -- - Earlier this past week, when it appeared rookie tackle Zach Strief might make his first NFL start on the left side of the line, Saints quarterback Drew Brees said he had the utmost confidence in the first of the team's two seventh-round draft choices.
That buoyancy proved well-founded Sunday.
Strief held his own against the right side of the Bucs' defense that includes three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Simeon Rice.
