Brees done at NBC (1 Viewer)

Nah...not really, Brees is...sorry to say it too wooden/bland, Brees wouldn't get s-faced and toss the lombardi from boat to boat.
I agree. Brady will succeed for the same reason Romo did. He’s kind of a “bro” if that makes sense.

Guys like Brees are too vanilla to keep viewers locked in. I’ve never found his interviews to be interesting or engaging and it’s not because he’s not an incredible and sincere person. It’s because he’s woefully boring to listen to and look at - and he is literally one of my favorite humans to have ever walked this earth!

I’m curious what him leaving NBC is about. Is it a firing? Is it a mutual parting?

This has been an unprecedented year for announcers switching to new networks - so I’m curious if there is a bigger picture here with this move.

I love Drew, but he isn't right for that kind of role. He is too nice and isn't willing to give much in the way of genuine criticism. He's too soft-spoken. People like a little spice in their football commentators and analyst, and you can't get less spicey than Drew Brees.

Maybe a 3 piece spicy chicken meal from Popeyes would help

Kurt Warner said Tom Brady is too nice for that business.
Drew is even nicer than Tom, IMO.
If true, I’m guessing Drew won’t sell his Christianity to devil to make it on TV.

I thought he was fine.
Whatever, it’s not like he needs the money.

Not sure it was due to his faith, Drew has a deal with Pointsbet Sportsbook and he’s on the air the most in commercials soliciting people to gamble…

Im surprised because NBC was hyping up landing him in 2020
Breach of contract more than likely. He was supposed to replace Collinsworth, but old Chris couldn’t move on with Al because apparently Amazon didn’t want him. He wanted to stay at NBC to groom his son. Brees probably said ok, I’ll give NBC an out and left. He’s got other ventures and plenty of money. He’ll get paid for guest appearances around the studios throughout the year. Good for him.
