Brees long-ball, is it low-key back? (1 Viewer)

Much has been made over it this off season, and I counted two balls today that went further than almost every ball he threw last year. Did he work on this in the off-season, and do you think it could be (dare I say).. b..b...back?
He’s been doing a tailor made rehab to generate additional velocity for the long season with a specialist. Increasing strength in all the surrounding muscles in the shoulder. He’s gonna be just fine

Drew missed short passes all game long which is uncharacteristic for him, let him get that going before we talk about the long ball
In my opinion, this is Drew Brees' season. I don't care what he does. If he decides that every single snap he want to throw it through the goal posts, then he can go for it. He as earned that and my trust as a fan.

That being said, I definitely hope that the O-line figures things out and he has a season for the record books.

TBH, TB12 looked worse. I think it's a by product of the weird off season which impacted teams ability to prepare for week 1. Overall, not bad for a creature of habit who's been so far knocked out of his routine.

I did the calculation after doing a grid. The pass to Cook went 48 yards in the air.
Man, I just parroted what I'd seen someone else say that it was 35 yards in the air. Turns out he really cranked that thing out there. And it was dead on the money

Hard disagree. TB12 threw the ball significantly better today. Yeah he had 2 INTs but I thought there was a pretty significant difference between the velocity and accuracy of the two.

That's pretty incredible after the last few years where all we have heard from the "national media" that Brees couldn't throw past five yards, right?

Pretty cool stuff.
