Archie Manning - 11 yrs - 21734 yds passing
Aaron Brooks - 6 yrs - 19156 yds passing
Bobby Hebert - 7 yrs - 14630 yds passing
Drew Brees - 4 yrs - 14268 yds passing

Win/Loss records aside, do you think Brees will move into the #2 slot by the end of the season?

Will he get 4900 yards the next 14 games? Probably not.

He'll be #1 the end of next year though. In yardage. He's already the best Quarterback to ever play for the Saints.

BTW I just realized I actually used "probably not" in a totally non-sarcastic, serious manner about Brees throwing 4,900 yards in 14 games!

That it's even a possibility worth hedging my bets on :covri:

I dont see him being #2 at the end of this year, but I see him being #1 at the end of his Carrer!!

Drew Brees > Aaron Brooks' whole family tree

It's hard to believe we spent 6 years with Brooks as QB.

It's hard to believe that the Chargers cut Brees and the Dolphins didn't match our offer. What a stroke of fortune.

Brees would have to average 349.8 ypg for the next 14 games. That's not likely to happen. But, since well be making it to the superbowl, he actually only has to average 288.2 ypg. That's a little more likely. I still wouldn't place any bets, though.

but i think there is a real possibility that Brees could be the #1 QB in NFL history when all is said and done.

No one is ever going to be the consensus #1 QB in NFL history. Just isn't like basketball, football defies that sort of consensus subjective judgment.
