Said Panthers’ OC didn’t emphasize it enough. Bridgewater also admitted he could have done better.

We all know how much he practiced those things under CSP, and mentoring by Brees.

:gosaints:

Still crazy to me how people freaked out about him being the next Sean Payton after a single season at LSU. He very well might be the next Sean Payton... but right now he looks more like a guy who walked into a literally perfect situation at LSU and doesn't have the experience to be where he is right now.

This story gives serious deja vu to the Rankins interview where he talked about how Bill Johnson didn't teach pass rushing techniques.

Oddly enough Bill Johnson was also a coach on that 2019 juggernaut LSU team.

Ok, you're talking about Joe Brady. I was a bit confused by your post - I thought you were comparing Bridgewater to Sean Payton.

Must've been a really bad situation for Teddy to even say anything. He usually makes Marques Colston look talkative.
It's not only the OC, it's a college coach he was dealing with. Coming from our locker room he must have felt like he was dealing with high school coaches.

Instead of playing the blame game he should have asserted his leadership and demanded they practice it more at the time.
Maybe, but you've gotta remember that most coaches who make the jump from college to the NFL don't take well to their players daring to question them. Look at how many flame out immediately because they're authoritarians used to players who don't really have options.

Yea, can you imagine if a player told Sean how practice was going to go without asking in private. He would likely become full time juicy fruit attendant until he was out the door.

I’m not asserting he start screaming in the middle of practice, but if your starting QB tells you we need to practice more 2 minute and red zone, you listen.

Agree. Can you hear any of the greats saying this?
