Sounds like you're operating under the assumption that children always listen to their parents.

My girl just told me she knows a girl named Michael.
The actress who played Ma Walton was named Michael Learned and there's an actress who was on Trapper John, M.D. named Christopher Norris.

ETA: Are we allowed to say "actress" anymore?

It seems like a lot of HCs have done this over the years. It’s not Andy’s fault when his adult kid does bad things, but the whole nepotism thing in this context is not the best look.
Yeah, we're all human with our demons but, I'm sorry, you're a coach in the NFL these days, you should sort of be above reproach even or maybe especially to be given that position by your father. Or at least be a role model. I don't care whose son he is, he's hurt children, his brother had drug issues and died, he's a piece of work.

why does this guy have a coaching gig? is it purely nepotism?
All 3 of his sons have been interns in their dad's NFL gigs (Britt and Garrett at Eagles, Spencer with Chiefs). Pretty standard for coaches sons I guess. Britt moved up into this actual position, though. His only other positions have been 1 year at a prep school and 1 year as a graduate assistant at Temple.

I have my own personal thoughts on the wisdom of this as a parent helping a son to be his "own man".

I hope my kids call me and ask for a ride. They are only 1 and 4 years old. But I want to make clear that they can call me for a ride anytime without getting in trouble. Even if they are 17 or 18. No punishment. A talk? - Yes. But no severe consequence.
